9:00 AM Zazen: For Those with Family Responsibilities
Ramana and Griffin on the Zen Center PorchThursday morning zazen is offered at 9:00 AM by Kigetsu Ramana Waymire, a priest and herself the mother of a school-age child.
This single 40-minute period of zazen is intended to provide an opportunity to practice for those whose family life precludes leaving the home early in the morning.
NEW Zazen is followed by a 20 minute soji, a period of silent work practice.
In soji we carry the soft, flexible mind of zazen off our cusion, into the world.
Arrive 10 minutes early to settle before the bell rings.
If you are a beginner unable to attend a Wednesday evening Beginner's Night, call Ramana at (541) 201-1160 to arrange 8:30 AM zazen instruction on a Thursday morning.
