Ashland Zen Center Summer Retreat

Ashland Zen Center invites you to a contemplative Summer Retreat in the tradition of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi.

Friday, August 20 at 7 p.m. through Sunday, August 22 at noon

This weekend retreat will be conducted in deep silence and simple activity: meditation, walking meditation, chanting and bowing, and the practice of mindful eating in the traditional form of ‘oryoki’. This is an opportunity to come to rest in the midst of our busy daily lives and be informed by our breath.

 Those attending sesshin will be asked to come to an oryoki training class on Wednesday, August 18 at 7 p.m.

Registration forms are available at Ashland Zen Center during regular practice hours, downloadable here, or mailed to you upon request.

The cost is $70, ($50 for pledging members of AZC) and limited to 25 people. Registration closes August 9, or when sesshin is filled.
